Our Impact
Building momentum toward lasting change
Every skill learned, every resource accessed, every connection made is a step toward economic opportunity. Here's how we measure the work — and what it means in the real world.
By the Numbers
Our reach so far
Opportunity Arc Foundation is a growing organization. These are our current milestones as we build toward greater scale and impact.
What We're Building
What impact looks like in this work
We measure success across multiple dimensions — because lasting economic mobility requires more than a single transaction.
Skills Acquired
The number of individuals who complete skills training and demonstrate new competencies in digital literacy, workplace readiness, and practical skills.
People Connected
The individuals connected to employment resources, workforce programs, and employer networks that open doors to real career opportunities.
Economic Mobility
The longer-term measure of our work: whether individuals are building stable, meaningful careers and improving their economic circumstances over time.
Employment Outcomes
The individuals who successfully find employment — whether entry-level, career-change, or advancement — after engaging with our programs and resources.
Community Strength
The ripple effect of employment on families and communities — when individuals achieve economic stability, they strengthen the people and neighborhoods around them.
Sustained Progress
We track individuals beyond initial job placement to understand whether the gains are holding — and where we need to improve our support.
Our Theory of Change
How change happens
We believe economic mobility is achievable when three things align: the right skills, the right resources, and the right connections — at the right time.
Our theory of change is straightforward: when individuals gain practical, employer-valued skills and are connected to vetted employment resources and real opportunities, they are able to find and sustain meaningful work.
Meaningful work leads to income stability. Stability leads to the ability to invest in oneself and one's family. Over time, this creates genuine upward mobility — not just a job, but a career trajectory.
We also believe that impact compounds. When one person achieves economic stability, they often become a resource and model for others in their community.
Looking Forward
Where we're headed
Opportunity Arc Foundation is growing. Here are the milestones we're working toward as we build toward greater scale and depth of impact.
Expand Program Reach
Grow the number of individuals we serve across all four program areas, with a focus on communities with the greatest need and least access to existing resources.
Deepen Employer Partnerships
Build a robust network of employer partners in LA County who are committed to inclusive hiring and will actively recruit from our program participants.
Build a Measurement System
Develop rigorous tracking and evaluation to understand our impact across the full pathway — from skill acquisition to long-term career outcomes.
A Note on Transparency
We're honest about where we are
Opportunity Arc Foundation is a young organization. The impact data we share today reflects our early stage — and we believe that honesty about this is a sign of integrity, not a weakness.
We are building the systems, partnerships, and program infrastructure needed to generate the kind of rigorous, longitudinal impact data that will demonstrate real change over time.
We welcome funders, partners, and community members who want to support this work at its formative stage — and who understand that the most meaningful impact often requires investment before the data is fully in.
