Privacy Policy
We are committed to being transparent about how we collect and use information. This policy explains our practices clearly and honestly.
Effective date: March 14, 2026 · Organization: Opportunity Arc Foundation · Location: Los Angeles, California
1. Our commitment to your privacy
Opportunity Arc Foundation ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party — ever. This policy describes what information we collect through our website, how we use it, and what choices you have.
We have written this policy in plain language because we believe you deserve to understand exactly how your information is handled, without having to parse legal jargon.
2. Information we collect
We only collect information that you voluntarily provide to us. We do not use tracking pixels, behavioral advertising tools, or third-party analytics platforms.
Contact form submissions
When you fill out our contact form, we collect your first name, last name, email address, organization name (optional), reason for reaching out, and your message. This information is transmitted securely through Formspree and delivered to our team email. We use it solely to respond to your inquiry.
Newsletter sign-ups
If you opt in to our newsletter — either through the contact form or the footer sign-up — we collect your email address. We use it only to send you updates about our programs and resources. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.
Automatically collected information
Our website uses Google Fonts, which loads typefaces from Google's servers. This may result in Google receiving your IP address as part of that request. We do not control this data and encourage you to review Google's Privacy Policy for details. We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you provide only for the following purposes:
- To respond to your message or inquiry
- To send program updates and resource information, if you have opted in
- To improve our communications and programs based on the types of questions and needs we hear from our community
We will never use your information for purposes beyond what is described here without first asking for your consent.
4. Information sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. Period.
We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use Formspree to process contact form submissions. Formspree receives the data you submit through our form and forwards it to us. They act as a data processor on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policy.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
5. Data retention
We retain contact form submissions and email correspondence for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected — typically the duration of our relationship or correspondence with you, plus a reasonable period thereafter for administrative purposes.
If you subscribed to our newsletter and later unsubscribe, we will remove your email address from our active mailing list promptly.
6. Your rights and choices
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of newsletter communications at any time
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at mjulian@opportunityarc.org. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We honor all CCPA requests submitted to the email above.
7. Children's privacy
Our website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you share with us. Our website uses HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
